We understand that accidents can happen. Our damage policy is designed to be fair while ensuring equipment remains in good condition for all customers.

Damage Categories

Normal Wear & Tear - No Charge

Minor scuffs, dirt, or marks from normal use. Light scratches on non-critical surfaces. Expected usage wear.

Minor Damage - Actual Repair Cost

Repairable damage that doesn't affect core functionality. Examples include:

• Broken handles or grips: £15-£30

• Damaged hoses or cables: £20-£50

• Missing accessories: Replacement cost + £10 handling

• Cracked casings (non-structural): £30-£75

Major Damage - Full Replacement Cost

Equipment cannot be economically repaired or is missing entirely:

• Motor or pump failure due to misuse: Full replacement cost

• Structural damage rendering equipment unsafe: Full replacement cost

• Equipment not returned or stolen: Full replacement cost + £50 admin fee

Damage Assessment Process

Equipment is inspected immediately upon return
Any damage is photographed and documented
You receive a detailed damage report with cost breakdown within 24 hours
Charges are deducted from deposit; any excess is invoiced separately
You have 48 hours to dispute charges with supporting evidence

Late Return Policy

Timely returns help us serve all customers fairly. We understand delays happen, so we've built in flexibility while maintaining fairness.

We provide a 2-hour grace period after your scheduled return time at no extra charge.

Refundable Deposit Policy

A refundable security deposit is required for all tool-only and delivery rental services. The deposit amount varies by equipment and is clearly stated on each product page.

Standard Deposit Amounts

• Pressure Washer: £100

• Power Tools: £50-£150 (depending on value)

• Garden Equipment: £75-£200

How Deposits Work

Deposit is collected at the time of equipment pickup or delivery
Equipment is inspected upon return for damage or missing items
If equipment is returned in good condition, full deposit is refunded within 3-5 business days
Deductions are made only for damage beyond normal wear and tear

No Deposit for Operator Service

When you choose our operator service, no deposit is required as our professional handles all equipment.
